That '70s Show Season 1 Episode 9: 'Hale-ucination'

In the ninth episode of its first season, 'Hale-ucination,' we're taken on a wild ride with our favorite Point Place gang as they navigate their way through another crazy day at East High. But things take an interesting turn when Eric Forman (played by Topher Grace) accidentally eats some psychedelic mushrooms that his older brother has left in his room.

As the episode begins, it becomes clear that something is amiss for Eric - or so we think. The entire episode appears to be a dream sequence where Eric imagines himself living out various alternate scenarios based on different choices he could have made throughout high school.

The first of these dreams takes us back to eighth grade when Eric had the chance to ask his crush, Donna Pinciotti (played by Lisa Marie Presley), to prom. In this version of events, Eric does muster up the courage and asks Donna - but she turns him down flat! Crushed, he spends the rest of the year pining away for her in secret.

But things only get stranger from here as we jump forward through time again and again into increasingly absurd alternate realities where everyone around Eric is completely different. There's one version where Fez (played by Danny Masterson) becomes a nerdy mathlete instead of his usual lovable ladies' man, while another sees Hyde (played by Mila Kunis) turn from bad boy troublemaker to squeaky-clean goody two-shoes.

Throughout it all - whether we're watching Eric awkwardly try and navigate the treacherous waters of middle school crushes or imagining what might have been if he'd made entirely different choices about friends, family, love, and life itself - one thing remains constant: 'Hale-ucination' is pure, unadulterated comedy gold.

With its witty writing, outrageous humor, and talented cast delivering performances that will leave you in stitches from start to finish, this episode of That '70s Show truly does not disappoint.
